Card Information

Only 7,000 of these packs were produced worldwide and just 700 of these were available for purchase from the CallCard Collectors’ Club from Thursday, 1st April 1999, to which they sold out almost instantly. The white surface on the back of the card has a glossy, non-print finish to it.

The Global Chipcard Alliance is a cross industry, non-profit organisation with a vision that in 5 years from now, chipcard users will be able to access their personalised applications and solutions where ever they are in the world. To mark this occasion, the Global Chipcard Alliance designed this limited edition phonecard pack consisting of 10 cards from around the world to reflect the ongoing co-operation of all companies involved in chipcard related business.

Along with a Telecom Eireann CallCard there are also cards from BT (Great Britain), KPN (Netherlands), Deutsche Telekom (Germany), SPT Telecom (Czech Republic), Telecom Malaysia (Malaysia), Bell Canada (Canada), GTE, US West (United States) and Telstra (Australia).
