Callcard commemorating the 70th Anniversary of the first Telephone Kiosk/Phone Box/Phone Booth in Ireland. This Callcard features an original K1 kiosk on the front and a modern kiosk on the back. It was also the first complimentary Callcard to be wrapped.
The Callcards launch coincided with the restoration of a K1 Phone box in Dawson Street, Dublin. You can read more about Ireland's First Public Call Box in our blog feature here.

Callcard produced to introduce the upgrade of public payphone kiosk's (phonebox or phonebooth) throughout Ireland. 5,000 of the Callcard were issued in a special cardboard sleeve.
The payphones in the image are believed to have only been around a year, before they were rebranded as Eircom in July 1999.
